The KinderHaus students were excited Tuesday, April 12, because workers from Wessleman Park brought animals! Not only did they bring animals but they let KinderHaus kids touch them. They brought a rooster, a turtle, and a snake.

Kindergarten are learning how to write problems and solutions! First, they pick a topic. Then they brainstorm a writing plan. Next, they have to write details about their topic and last, they create a rough draft. By Michael and Cole Fifth grade just started Junior Achievement Tuesday, March 29. The fifth grade will have Junior Achievement every Tuesday from 2-3pm. The fifth grade teacher for Junior Acheivement is Ellen Ricker. Everyone is exited for Junior Achievement! By Kyle and Savannah The second graders from Holy Cross, St. Joe Princeton, and St. James came to Sts. Peter and Paul for a First Communion retreat. They did alot of activites such as making a cross out of puzzle pieces, having a prayer service, the labberith, baking bread, making an alter cover with all of their hand prints and saints told them their past and how they became a saint. They all ate lunch in the family life center. This all took place on Friday April 1st, 2016.The second grade has made their First Communion altar cover. They put their hand prints on the alter cover using paint. When they make their First Communion the altar cover will be on the altar on Sunday, April 24th. What a special item to have! By Alyssa and Caden The kindergarteners are learning the elements of music along with diffrent kinds of instruments such as shakers, triangles, sand blocks, guirro's, and bongos. They are also learning about quarter notes and quarter rests. By Garett and Wyatt Today a famous storyteller named Mary Jo Huff is going to tell Kinderhaus a story. The kids and the teachers are excited! Miss Lucy said, "I got to watch her become famous". By Cole and Michael Sts. Peter and Paul's annual German Meal and Auction is April 9-10. The dinner is April 9 from 5-7:30 pm. You'll be having Dewig's Country Sausage, mashed potatoes with gravy, beans, sauerkraut, applesauce, and cornbread. You can preview items for the auction the next day. The auction will be held at the Old Gym. On Sunday, April 10, doors will open at 8:00 am. We'll have the Silent and Chinese Auctions, Quilt Raffle, Half Pot, $3,000 Treasure Chest Raffle. The Live Auction starts at 1:00 pm. There will be German music, inflatables, and much more. Bring the whole family for lots of fun. By Sadie Mark your calendars for some special events coming up! John Pfister's Diaconate Ordination- Saturday, June 11 at 10:00 am Tyler Tenbarge's Priesthood Ordination- Saturday, June 11 at 10:00 am Both of these celebrations will take place at St. Benedict Cathedral in Evansville. Please plan to attend and bring your family. These are most sacred celebrations in the Church and we are so fortunate to claim these men as "sons" of our parishes. 3rd Graders have started Junior Achievement. Their teacher is Bill Goedde from Duke Energy. They're learning about income, needs, and wants. The kindergarten class has made their very first Auction project. The made a kid friendly mirror that has mozaic tiles. They kids had a blast making the mirror. It looks great kindergarten! By Cole and Michael |
